I don't mean to Harp on the LeBron thing (OK, maybe just a little), but I was looking around the phenomenal time killer that is the SI Vault and stumbled on some articles from 1996 about Shaquille O'Neal. When you think about it Shaq is the best comparison for what is about to happen with LeBron James.
I was only 12 at the time, so I had no idea that most people were convinced that Shaq was staying in Orlando. It wasn't until after the Bulls swept the Magic in the playoffs that people started to believe Shaq was heading for LA.
